It was in 1981 that Warren Roberts started his business in Sanford, Maine. He was interested in supporting local businesses with their office supplies, furniture, equipment, machines and printing. A retail store was opened where Warren was able to have his daughters help and truly grow a family business. Warren's Office Supplies has evolved over the years with Warren and his daughter Melissa driving the company to become Maine and New Hampshire’s leading independently owned & operated office supply business. Warren's daughter Jen joined the company in 2008 and his wife Sue in 2013, and the family business has continued to grow.
I joined the team in 2001. Warren and Melissa were looking for a new logo as the previous logo had retired. They were looking for a more modern logo, one that would make a statement, tell their customers exactly what their business was about and would be easily recognizable. Warren also believes that doing business can be fun and wanted a logo that shared that viewpoint. I was just their guy. After careful consideration I was asked to join the Warren’s team and began my journey to where I am today. Over the years I have taken on many roles within the company, always striving to develop strong relationships with Maine businesses in the same fashion that Warren's Office Supplies was started with honesty; reliability; value and, of course, humor.
Over the past few years, I have become a “Furniture Expert” and know how to design, order, deliver and set up your new office furniture with ease. I’ve also been fully trained on how to remove all of the packaging, show you how to utilize your new furniture and leave you feeling good about your decision to purchase furniture through Warren’s.
Yes, you could call me somewhat of a “Computer Geek”. In 2003 I introduced the new and improved www.WarrensOfficeSupplies.com. Now, it is so quick and easy to use, I find myself showing all of our customers how it can help make their day easier. “Quick Order”, “My List”, “Search” and “Browse” features are indispensable to me. And the on-line “Specials”; well… they are only available on-line!
In 2006, I ran for Governor of Office Supplies. The points of my platform were clear. The Economy: Keep the Maine / NH economy strong by supporting local businesses. Reduce Spending: I have made a commitment to offer “Pricefighter” items that are quality products at a fraction of the price. Technology: make ordering office supplies easy with on-line ordering. “Vote For Pencil Man!” bumper stickers were in businesses all over. Once the ballots were counted, it was evident that Pencil Man was “The Write Choice For A New Ruler”.
In 2008 I embarked on the next step in my Warren's Office Supplies journey. I got a fresh new look!
We introduced a new logo and my image changed for the better as well. I am dedicated to helping you with making purchasing office supplies easier, providing you with my “Pricefighter” brands to save money, giving you the advantage of my knowledge and experience, and to promote economic grow through buying local.
Pencil Point joined me in 2010 in helping promote Warren's. We have so much fun together. Adventures in office supplies and our "sharp" humor make ordering office supplies so much more fun.
